Hl2Parse is a library of Java code designed to inter-operate with various Sourceâ„¢ game engine file formats. It is currently hosted on GitHub.
Currently (Feb 2011) the following formats are handled and have APIs with varying levels of functionality:
- VMT files
- Particle manifest format
- Soundscapes
- Source SDK’s gameinfo.txt
- BSP files
- FGD (“forge game data”) files
- Map entity data
- MDL model files
- Steam’s clientregistry.blob
